Don’t Settle for Weak Wicker Furnishings
by: Wyatt Fisk
As one of the oldest forms of craftsmanship, wicker is probably one of the most comfortable fixtures in the outdoor furniture world. The seemingly casual, elegant and homey qualities of wicker furnishings, such as the wicker sofa, have never failed to have immense emotional and visual appeal whether they are place on patios, living spaces as well back porches. But, these very features that make wicker soft, light and comfortable are also what make wicker furniture pieces easily damaged. Handling wicker furniture pieces requires more care than handling wooden furnishings; roughly treating these pieces could easily shorten their service life, and in order to avoid this from happening you may want to take a look on how you could prolong the life your wicker furnishings.
Try to avoid stepping on your wicker sofa, and never exert too much power when rising out from it. If you would be retrieving some items from shelves situated higher from the ground, do not use your wicker chair to get these items; doing this could profoundly damage the chair’s seat and could result for you to slip from the chair. When you’re sitting on your wicker chair and you decide to rise from it remember to lean yourself forward and get up without putting your weight on the chair’s armrests. Excessive weight on the armrests of wicker chair could dramatically crush the wicker, and if done frequently would damage the overall structure of such furniture. Would you like more information?
